2025年9月29日、州都リンガエンで開かれた州の議会が、この町の条例は、町の議会が定める権限の範囲にある、と確認する決議を可決した。

The town of Asingan, in Pangasinan province in the Philippines, made an ordinance forbidding the use of videoke and karaoke machines, and other like amplifying equipment, from ten at night until six in the morning. Breaking it carries a penalty.
On 29 September 2025, in the provincial capital Lingayen, the provincial board passed a resolution declaring that the town's ordinance was within the council's power to enact.
What the penalty actually is, is not given in that document.
