この郡は議会が解かれていて、議決をしたのは、ただ1人の行政官(アドミニストレーター)ボブ・スチュワート。あわせて、別の集落ティルパの水の体制についての報告書を出すよう、総支配人に求めた。
ホワイト・クリフスは、かつてのオパール採掘地で、ブロークン・ヒルの北北東およそ270キロ、人口200人に満たない内陸の僻地にある。
On 28 May 2025 the Central Darling Shire, in New South Wales, Australia, decided to place stage-three water restrictions on the settlement of White Cliffs, because the water supply had run low.
The shire's elected council has been dismissed, and the decision was taken by a single administrator, Bob Stewart. The council also asked the general manager to bring forward a report on the water arrangements for another settlement, Tilpa.
White Cliffs, a former opal-mining field, is a remote inland place of fewer than two hundred people, about 270 kilometres north-north-east of Broken Hill.
