The city of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, published in July 2025 a list ranking the results of the examination for a scholarship the city awards. It is for the eleventh grade in the local system - the equivalent of the first year of high school.

The examination was held on 19 July 2025 at 54 centres across the country. Against places at the city's private schools, 17,229 applications came from 77 districts nationwide, and of these 16,137 were selected as scholarship candidates and sat the test.

The ranked list named those who scored 40 or more. A first allocation list was then issued, distributing 3,361 of them among 140 institutions. The deadline to enrol at the assigned school was 25 July.

Results could be viewed and printed from the city's dedicated website using a registration number and date of birth. Anyone seeking a re-evaluation had to apply in person, with a fee of 1,000 rupees, by an early-July deadline.
