イングランド東部エセックス州のウェスト・バーゴルト教区会は、2025年6月25日の会で、村の催しに使うポップアップ式のテント(ガゼボ)を買うことを決めた。
2つの業者から見積もりを取り(1,288ポンドと1,090.55ポンド、いずれも税別)、安いほうのトータリー・ブランデッド社のものを選んだ。3メートル四方で、教区会の名前が刷られ、脚におもりが付く。提案したのはアンドルー・サヴェッジ議員。
チェンバレン議員が、テントの保管と使用を受け持つことになった。ウェスト・バーゴルトは、コルチェスターの市街から北西へおよそ8キロの村である。
On 25 June 2025 the parish council of West Bergholt, in Essex in eastern England, decided to buy a pop-up tent (a gazebo) for use at village events.
It took quotes from two suppliers — 1,288.00 pounds and 1,090.55 pounds, both before tax — and chose the cheaper, from Totally Branded. The tent is three metres square, printed with the council's name, and weighted at the legs. It was proposed by Councillor Andrew Savage.
Councillor Chamberlain was made the member responsible for storing and using the tent. West Bergholt is a village about eight kilometres north-west of the town of Colchester.
