イングランド東部エセックス州のウェスト・バーゴルト教区会は、2025年6月25日、同じ会で、村のたき火についての手引き(コード・オブ・プラクティス)を定めた。
近所に迷惑なたき火をめぐる問題を受けて、議長のブライアン・ブッチャーが草案を書き、会の前に全議員に回して直したうえで承認された。
書記は、この手引きをサイトに載せ、村報の9月号にも掲載するよう指示された。ウェスト・バーゴルトは、コルチェスターの北西およそ8キロの村である。
On 25 June 2025, at the same meeting, the parish council of West Bergholt, in Essex in eastern England, adopted a code of practice for bonfires in the village.
After problems with bonfires that troubled neighbours, the chairman, Brian Butcher, drafted it; it was circulated to all councillors before the meeting, amended, and then approved.
The clerk was asked to put the code on the website and to print it in the September issue of the village bulletin. West Bergholt is a village about eight kilometres north-west of Colchester.
