オーストラリア南東部、ニューサウスウェールズ州の町クーナンブルで、2026年5月13日の議会が、2つの古い物の移転を調べると決めた。
1つは、キャッスルリア通りとトゥルーン通りの交差点にある環状交差点の中に置かれた、旧・馬用水槽である。これをメインストリートのより中心的な場所へ移せるか。
もう1つは、クーナンブル博物館に収められている、コブ・アンド・コー社の馬車の複製である。これを観光案内所の隣のスミス公園へ移せるか。
議会は総支配人に、移転先、費用、安全に収めるための費用、予想される危険を調べて報告するよう求めた。決議は全会一致だった。移すと決めたのではなく、移せるかを調べる、という決議である。
In Coonamble, a town in New South Wales, Australia, the council resolved on 13 May 2026 to look into moving two old things.
One is the old horse trough that stands inside the roundabout at the corner of Castlereagh and Tooloon Streets, which might be moved to a more central spot on the main street.
The other is a replica of a Cobb & Co carriage, kept in the Coonamble Museum, which might be moved to Smith Park beside the visitor centre.
The council asked the general manager to report on where to move them, the cost, the cost of housing them safely, and the likely risks. The vote was unanimous. It resolved not to move them, but to look into whether they could be moved.
