トルコ南部の21の浜辺で、夏の夜間に砂浜を歩くと最大約1万3千ユーロの罰金が科される。

During the summer season from May to September, Turkey has banned walking on 21 beaches in five southern provinces between 20:00 and 08:00. Individuals who violate the ban face fines of 699,000 Turkish liras (about 13,000 euros), and companies up to 2 million liras (about 37,000 euros).

All the beaches lie on the Mediterranean coast and serve as nesting grounds for endangered sea turtles. They are spread across the provinces of Antalya, Mugla, Mersin, Adana and Hatay, and include well-known stretches such as Patara and Dalyan.

Other restrictions apply through the same period: driving vehicles, pitching tents, camping, and lighting fires or barbecues are also prohibited on these beaches.
