In Rosemarket, a village in Pembrokeshire in south-west Wales, the community council met on 3 March 2025, and the control of dogs at a place called The Beacon was on the agenda.

Members were told that three signs had been stolen. Replacements had already been ordered from Pembrokeshire County Council and were expected without undue delay.

Members discussed how the signs might be fixed more securely to prevent a repetition. County Councillor Danny Young offered to help.

Under the same item it was also agreed to place a litter bin on a concrete slab at the lower Beacon, to circulate a letter to households about dog control once the signs were replaced, and to clear brambles and broken concrete along the western boundary.
