中国チベット自治区ナクチュのあるホテルで7月4日夜、1頭のクマが館内に侵入した。防犯カメラの映像には、クマがまずフロントでペットボトルの水を飲み、その後廊下を歩く様子が写っていた。
クマはさらに進み、施錠されていた客室のドアを体当たりで破って室内に入った。部屋には宿泊客2人がおり、クマとしばらく見つめ合った後、クマは自分から部屋を出て行ったという。
ホテルの経営者は懐中電灯や道具を使ってクマを館外へ追い出した。ドアはその後修理され、ホテル側はクマの再侵入を防ぐための警備強化を進めているとしている。
A bear got into a hotel in Nagqu, in Tibet, China, on the night of July 4. Security camera footage shows it stopping at the front desk to drink bottled water before wandering down a hallway.
The bear then forced its way through a locked door into an occupied guest room. The two guests inside stared at it for a few seconds before it left the room on its own.
The hotel's owner used a flashlight and other tools to chase the bear out of the building. The door has since been repaired, and the hotel says it is adding security measures to keep bears from getting back in.
