11 March 2025 — The Belgian municipality of Clavier votes unanimously to hand its roadside mowing to an outside firm, for about 75,000 euros over three years.

Each year's quote came to exactly 24,942 euros, before tax.

On 11 March 2025 the council of Clavier, in the province of Liege in Belgium's Wallonia region, voted unanimously to contract out the mowing of the verges along the municipal roads.

The contract runs for three years — 2025 as the base contract, 2026 and 2027 as renewals. Each year's quote is 24,942 euros before tax, for a three-year total of 74,826 euros before tax. It covers the districts of Clavier-Station, Terwagne, Pair and Les Avins, including the removal of cuttings and the cleaning of ditches.

Clavier is a municipality of fewer than fifteen thousand people. The mayor is Damien Wathelet.
