タイ・チョンブリ県の知事ナリス氏が、57歳の誕生日にあたり、食肉処理場から牛2頭を各2万5千バーツ（合計5万バーツ）で買い取り、家畜開発局の事業を通じてパノムニコム郡の困窮した農家に贈った。誕生日は2026年6月18日と報じられた。
チョンブリ県は首都バンコクの南東、タイ湾岸に位置する。式典には知事の妻で県赤十字支部長を務めるスピンヤー夫人も同席した。贈られた2頭は繁殖用として農家が長く飼育し、屠殺されることなく収入源となる予定とされる。
この行いは1979年にラマ9世（プミポン国王）が始めた「家畜・水牛プロジェクト」に連なる、王室発の農家支援事業の継続である。食肉処理場から動物を救い出して農家の生産資産とし、農村の経済と繁殖事業の安定を促すことが目的とされる。
The governor of Chonburi Province, Thailand, identified as Naris, bought two cows from a slaughterhouse at 25,000 baht each, 50,000 baht in total, on his 57th birthday and gave them through the Department of Livestock Development to needy farmers in Phanom Nikhom District. The birthday was reported as 18 June 2026.
Chonburi Province lies southeast of Bangkok along the Gulf of Thailand. The governor was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Suphinya, head of the provincial Red Cross chapter. The two animals are to be raised for breeding and long-term income rather than slaughter.
The act continues the Cattle and Buffalo Project begun by King Rama IX in 1979, a royal initiative to redirect animals away from slaughterhouses and toward farmers as productive assets, supporting rural livelihoods and breeding stability.
